  YABATECH, DSS CLOSE RANKS ON SECURITY By Admin Layckanb Mar 25, 2024 02:42 pm Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) and the Department of State Services (DSS), in a course to protect lives and properties in the foremost tertiary institution in Nigeria, have agreed to close ranks at securing the college. This manifested at a courtesy visit paid by the Rector, Yabatech, Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Abdul with other college principal officers to the new State Director, Department, State Services, Mr. Adedapo Amao and his management team. Dr. Abdul in his address sought for the cooperation of the State Service at securing lives and properties in the wake of some security challenges confronting the college and are defiling her existing security apparatus. He enumerated the security challenges ranging from hackers, scamming/duping of parents of students on school fees, cultism involvement  to impersonation of authorities in perpetrating crimes. The PUNCH had reported that pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City had embarked on a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022 when the incident happened. Following the incident, the school authorities suspended the student indefinitely, stating that she was “a major actor” in an “immoral act”. But the mother of the student claimed that her daughter was drugged and raped by some male students of the school. Efforts to reach the school for clarification proved abortive as of the time of filing this report. Ronaldo revealed in a social media post last October that the couple were expecting twins. In a post released on the Manchester United forward’s Twitter account, they confirmed the birth of a baby girl. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.
